Recipe FAQs

→ Why let ingredients warm up first?
Warmer cheese melts evenly, and guacamole spreads better without tearing the bread.
→ Can I pick different bread?
Sure thing! Use any bread that holds up well. Sourdough tastes amazing and works perfectly for grilling.
→ How do I avoid soggy bread?
Put cheese next to both bread slices so it creates a barrier. This keeps the guacamole from soaking through.
→ Can I prep this earlier?
It's best enjoyed hot and fresh. Guacamole can brown over time, so it's better to make and eat right away.
→ What’s the deal with tortilla chips?
They add crunch and are a fun nod to guac and chips—but you can leave them out if you want.
