01 -
Toss the strawberries, milk, cream, scraped vanilla seeds (keep the bean!), sugar, and salt into a pot.
02 -
Turn on medium heat and let the mixture warm up while stirring now and then. You’ll want it just before it begins to bubble.
03 -
Take it off the heat and let the mixture chill for about half an hour. Gives the flavors time to settle in.
04 -
Once infused, fish out and toss the vanilla pod.
05 -
Using a regular or immersion blender, blend everything until it’s silky with no lumps.
06 -
Pour it all into a container and pop it in the fridge. Leave it there for a minimum of 4 hours or let it rest overnight.
07 -
Move the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and let it churn following the instructions for your machine.
08 -
Spoon the freshly churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container and freeze for a couple more hours until it’s nice and solid.
09 -
Serve up in your favorite bowl or cone and dig into this creamy strawberry-vanilla creation!
