Apple Fritter Bites (Print)

Sweet, spiced apple bites with a crispy shell and soft center. Perfect for a cozy snack or dessert any time of day!

# Ingredients:

01 - ⅓ cup milk.
02 - 1 large egg.
03 - 1 cup plain flour.
04 - 2 tablespoons white sugar.
05 - 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder.
06 - ¼ teaspoon of table salt.
07 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
08 - 1 tablespoon melted butter.
09 - 1 ½ cups of apples, peeled and diced.
10 - Cooking oil for frying.
11 - Optional: powdered sugar for sprinkling.

# Steps:

01 - Stir together the wet stuff—milk, egg, butter, and vanilla—in a bowl until smooth.
02 - Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
03 - Add the wet ingredients into the dry bowl little by little. Keep stirring until it all blends into a smooth batter.
04 - Gently fold the apple pieces into the batter so they’re evenly coated.
05 - On medium heat, get your pan and cooking oil ready. Heat it to about 350°F (175°C).
06 - Drop heaping spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Let each side fry for 2-3 minutes until you see that deep golden color.
07 - Lift each one out, letting them sit on paper towels to soak up the extra grease.
08 - Right before serving, sprinkle them with powdered sugar if that’s your thing.

# Notes:

01 - Pro Tip: Use different types of apples to balance sweetness and tartness.
02 - Want more flavor? A mix of cinnamon and sugar on top works wonders!
