Caramel Pretzel Bars (Print)

Layers of crunchy pretzels, soft caramel, and smooth chocolate-peanut butter are combined effortlessly in these no-bake bars.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup of milk chocolate chips.
02 - 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.
03 - Half a cup of peanut butter.
04 - 2 cups of crushed pretzels.
05 - Optional: A pinch of sea salt to sprinkle on top.
06 - 1 cup caramel bits or about 30 to 35 soft caramels, already unwrapped.

# Steps:

01 - Use parchment paper to line an 8x8-inch pan. Leave enough paper hanging over the sides so you can lift everything out later.
02 - Spread out your crushed pretzels evenly to cover the base of the lined pan.
03 - Take a microwave-safe bowl and mix your unwrapped caramels with the cream. Microwave it in short bursts of 20 seconds, stirring each time, until it’s fully melted and smooth. Pour this over the pretzels and spread it around before letting it cool slightly.
04 - In another microwave-safe bowl, heat up the chocolate chips alongside the peanut butter. Do it in 20-second bursts, remembering to give it a stir after each go. Once everything’s melted and creamy, pour it over the caramel layer and smooth it out.
05 - Pop it in the fridge and leave it for a couple of hours or until everything has set completely.
06 - Once firm, use the parchment paper to lift everything out of the pan. If you like, sprinkle a little sea salt over the top. Then slice into bars or squares and enjoy.
