Candied Bacon Snacks (Print)

Crunchy crackers topped with velvety Boursin and caramelized bacon. A mix of flavors in each bite—sweet, spicy, herby, and crispy.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 pound of regular or thin bacon—don’t use the thick-cut kind
02 - 1-1.5 packages of Club crackers
03 - 1 (5.3 oz) package of Boursin cheese, either garlic and herb or black pepper flavor

→ Topping

04 - 2 tablespoons of crushed red pepper flakes
05 - ½ cup of packed dark brown sugar

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to heat at 300°F. Use foil or parchment paper to line a baking sheet so it collects the bacon drippings. Put a cooling rack over the lined pan.
02 - Pour the red pepper flakes and brown sugar into bowls. Cut the strips of bacon into fourths so they’re the same size as the crackers.
03 - Smear Boursin cheese over each cracker in an even layer, about ⅛-inch thick. Lay the crackers next to each other on the cooling rack you prepared.
04 - Take the pieces of bacon and put one piece on every cracker. Sprinkle a good amount of brown sugar across the top, then add a dash of red pepper flakes on each.
05 - Pop the crackers in the oven for 35-45 minutes, turning the pan around midway through. Start checking at the 30-minute mark. They're ready when the bacon looks cooked and the edges of the crackers start to brown.
06 - You can serve these warm or let them cool to room temperature before eating.

# Notes:

01 - They’re okay to leave out at room temperature for a few hours
02 - Store them in the fridge for 3 to 4 days
03 - They’ll keep in the freezer for up to two months
