Fresh Avocado Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Avocado Salsa

01 - 4 avocados, ripe and diced after peeling and removing the pit
02 - 4 medium tomatoes, diced after removing seeds
03 - 1 chopped jalapeño with seeds taken out
04 - 1 onion, finely chopped
05 - ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves

→ Dressing

06 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro leaves
07 - ¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
08 - ¼ cup olive oil
09 - ½ teaspoon cumin powder
10 - ¾ teaspoon salt
11 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ground
12 - 2 garlic cloves, crushed into a paste

# Instructions:

01 - Start by submerging the chopped onion in a bowl of cold water. Mix it once or twice, letting it sit for at least ten minutes while working on the rest.
02 - After draining the onion, combine it with diced avocados, tomatoes, jalapeño, and cilantro in a large mixing bowl.
03 - In a smaller bowl, thoroughly whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro.
04 - Gently toss the salsa mixture with the prepared dressing to coat everything evenly without smashing the avocado.
05 - Serve it up with tortilla chips on the side.

# Notes:

01 - Add cayenne or chili flakes to turn up the heat!
02 - White onions work fine, but red ones are ideal.
03 - This dish tastes best when eaten right away.
