01 -
Wash apples really well to strip off any wax, then dry them completely. Stick a wooden stick into each apple and set them on parchment paper on a baking tray.
02 -
Combine water, sugar, corn syrup, and tartar cream in a pot over medium heat. Stir them together until the sugar completely blends in.
03 -
Turn the heat to high and let it boil without mixing until the temperature hits 300°F (150°C). Take it off the stove and stir in the vanilla essence and optional cotton candy flavor.
04 -
Pour the candy into two bowls or similar containers. Use pink in one and blue in the other, swirling them gently with a toothpick for a tie-dye look.
05 -
One by one, dip the apples into both colors, swirling to mix patterns. Place them back on the paper-lined tray so the coating can harden.
06 -
Before the candy coating gets too firm, sprinkle glitter or add sprinkles for decoration. Let everything cool to solidify completely.
07 -
When fully set, enjoy the candy apples right away or wrap them up for later.
