Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place parchment paper on your baking tray.

Combine salt, flour, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Give it a good stir and put it aside.

Mix softened butter with both sugars in a big bowl until creamy and fluffy. Stir in eggs one by one, then pour in vanilla and mix again until smooth.

Add the dry mix to the creamed mixture slowly, stirring just enough to blend everything together. Toss in the chocolate chips and fold them through.

Scoop around 2 tablespoons of dough and shape it into a flat round. Pop a mini peanut butter cup in the middle, then cover it with another tablespoon of dough. Seal the dough around the candy snugly.

Place the dough balls onto the baking tray, making sure to leave around 2 inches of space between them.

Let them bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn a nice golden color. Cool them right on the tray for five minutes, then move them onto a rack to finish cooling.
