Beef & Cheese Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Stuffing Essentials

01 - 1 small onion, chopped finely
02 - ½ teaspoon salt
03 - 1 bell pepper, any color, diced
04 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning mix
06 - ¼ cup smoky barbecue sauce
07 - ¼ cup ketchup
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
09 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
10 - 1 pound ground beef
11 - ½ teaspoon ground paprika
12 - 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

→ Dough and Garnish

13 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
14 - 1 tube store-bought pizza dough
15 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
16 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Use parchment paper or a little grease on a baking sheet to stop sticking.
02 - Start by heating olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Add the beef and cook while breaking it down with a spoon. Once fully browned, drain any extra grease if there’s too much. This usually takes 5-7 minutes.
03 - Mix in the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Stir everything together over heat for 4-5 minutes until the veggies are soft. Toss in the salt, pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, ketchup, and the barbecue sauce. Stir a lot so it’s evenly combined and let it cook a bit more, about 2-3 minutes. Take it off the heat to cool.
04 - Roll the pizza dough flat on a surface with some flour dusting. Make it a nice big rectangle, around 12×15 inches.
05 - Spread your cooled meat filling across the dough. Leave a clean edge, around an inch, on all sides. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top of the meat mixture.
06 - Start at a longer side of the rectangle and gently roll the dough into a log. Fold in the ends to close it up and press the seams together to hold the filling in. Flip it so it’s seam-side down on the baking sheet.
07 - In a small dish, stir together the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush it all over the dough, making sure you cover the top and the sides.
08 - Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the outside is a nice golden-brown color and cooked through.
09 - Wait 5-10 minutes before you cut it. This helps set everything so your slices don’t fall apart. Cut into 1-inch pieces, sprinkle parsley on top, and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Switch it up with other meats like sausage or ground turkey. Extras like mushrooms, jalapeños, or cooked bacon also work!
02 - Try using a cheese blend or something bold like cheddar or pepper jack for extra taste.
03 - Keep leftovers fresh in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to crisp it up again.
