Sausage Gravy Pizza (Print)

This twist on breakfast pairs Southern-style sausage gravy with eggs and cheese on a biscuit crust. Quick and hearty in under 40 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 16.3 oz biscuit dough from the fridge.
02 - 1 lb crumbled breakfast sausage.
03 - 1/2 cup chopped fresh onion.
04 - 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
05 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
06 - 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
07 - 1/2 cup full-fat milk.
08 - 1/4 cup plain flour.
09 - 1 cup pre-made sausage gravy.
10 - 2 large eggs.
11 - Fresh parsley, chopped for sprinkling.
12 - Salt and pepper as needed.

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cover a 12-inch pizza pan lightly with non-stick spray.
02 - Flatten the biscuit dough on a floured counter until it fits the pan. Press the dough into the pan, letting it curve up the sides.
03 - Put sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up, until browned all the way through. Move it aside.
04 - Using the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Stir in flour and cook for a minute. Slowly whisk in milk, letting it thicken. Toss the cooked sausage back in.
05 - Spread the sausage gravy over the crust. Sprinkle both cheeses on top, then crack eggs evenly across the pizza.
06 - Bake for 20-25 minutes. The crust should turn golden, the cheese bubbly, and eggs set but still slightly runny.

# Notes:

01 - If you like spice, try using spicy sausage.
02 - You can make the gravy ahead to save time.
03 - Pairs great with fresh fruit or crispy hash browns.
