Turn on your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up.

Form 12 patties from your ground sausage, just wide enough to fit the buns. Fry them in a pan over medium heat until cooked through.

Keep the Hawaiian buns connected as you slice them through the middle and place the bottom layer in a baking dish (7×10 or 9×13 works well).

Spread scrambled eggs on the bottom layer of buns, then stack on the pepper jack cheese slices.

Add your sausage patties over the cheese, then layer with the slices of American cheese.

Place the top layer of the buns on top of everything.

Stir together the maple syrup and melted butter in a bowl. Brush it generously across the tops of the buns, letting it drip down the sides.

Place in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese looks gooey and melted.
