Sausage Egg Buns (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 slider buns, such as Hawaiian rolls.
02 - 2 breakfast sausage rolls (24 oz ground pork sausage).
03 - 6 slices of American cheese.
04 - 1/2 cup melted butter.
05 - 8 scrambled eggs, cooked.
06 - 8 slices of pepper jack cheese.
07 - 1/4 cup of maple syrup.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up.
02 - Form 12 patties from your ground sausage, just wide enough to fit the buns. Fry them in a pan over medium heat until cooked through.
03 - Keep the Hawaiian buns connected as you slice them through the middle and place the bottom layer in a baking dish (7×10 or 9×13 works well).
04 - Spread scrambled eggs on the bottom layer of buns, then stack on the pepper jack cheese slices.
05 - Add your sausage patties over the cheese, then layer with the slices of American cheese.
06 - Place the top layer of the buns on top of everything.
07 - Stir together the maple syrup and melted butter in a bowl. Brush it generously across the tops of the buns, letting it drip down the sides.
08 - Place in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese looks gooey and melted.
09 - Allow it to cool just a bit, then dig in and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Great for gatherings earlier in the day, like brunch or breakfast.
02 - Feel free to switch to your favorite cheese or buns to make it your own.
