Santa Face Cupcakes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature.
02 - 1 box of your go-to cake mix (with required ingredients listed on the box).
03 - 2-3 tablespoons milk or as needed.
04 - 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract.
05 - 4 cups of powdered sugar (aka confectioners’ sugar).
06 - Drop or two of red food dye.
07 - Tiny marshmallows.
08 - Small chocolate chips.
09 - Little red candies (used for Santa’s nose).
10 - Pearl candies or white sprinkles.

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the cake mix box steps to bake cupcakes. Wait till they cool completely before decorating.
02 - Beat the softened butter in a bowl till smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar gradually, about a cup each time. Once it's combined, add milk and vanilla and whisk it until the frosting feels light and airy. If it seems too thick, add a bit of milk to loosen it up.
03 - Split the frosting into two separate portions. Add red food coloring to one batch to make the color for Santa's hat. Leave the other half plain white for the beard and hat trim.
04 - Spread the red frosting on the upper part of the cupcake for the hat. Then use the white frosting for the beard and the fuzzy trim on the hat.
05 - Pop a small marshmallow at the top of the red hat as the pom-pom. Use mini chocolate chips for eyes, a red candy for the nose, and sprinkle on pearls or white decorations to finish the Santa look.
