Mix the softened butter, cake mix, egg, cream cheese, vanilla, and peppermint extract in a bowl until the dough is soft.

Carefully fold in the cookie chunks, chocolate chips, and peppermint bits.

Pop the dough in the fridge for at least an hour to let it firm up.

Heat up your oven to 350°F (177°C). Roll the dough into 24 evenly sized balls.

Put 12 of the dough balls on a baking tray and bake for about 10-11 minutes. Keep the other half in the fridge. Don’t let them bake too long—they should stay soft!

Once baked, leave them on the tray for a moment before moving them to a rack to cool completely.
