French Onion Potato (Print)

Comforting spuds mixed with rich French onion flavors and soft onions. A versatile side for any occasion.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 4 garlic cloves, chopped fine
02 - 2 yellow onions, sliced super thin
03 - 4 big potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

→ Seasonings

04 - Half a cup of melted butter
05 - 1 packet of onion soup mix (French style)
06 - 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
07 - 1 cup of hot water
08 - 1 tablespoon of soft brown sugar

# Steps:

01 - Turn your oven on to preheat. Dice the potatoes after peeling them, chop the garlic, and slice the onions into thin ribbons.
02 - Mix the potatoes in a roasting dish with butter, garlic, the onion mix, rosemary, and the hot water.
03 - Cover them up and place in the oven until they start getting soft, around 30 minutes.
04 - As the potatoes bake, slowly cook the onions with a bit of sugar until they've turned golden and soft.
05 - Spread the cooked onions around the potatoes, leave uncovered, and bake again until everything's golden and tender, roughly 20 minutes.

# Notes:

01 - Can be put together a day ahead, stored, then cooked fresh.
02 - Leftover portions will stay good in the fridge for up to 4 days.
