Nutella Baklava (Print)

Crispy phyllo layers loaded with Nutella, hazelnuts, and a drizzle of honey syrup. A luscious spin on the traditional treat you know and love!

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 oz package of phyllo dough, defrosted: Creates delicate, crisp layers.
02 - 1 cup melted unsalted butter: Keeps the layers golden and flavorful.
03 - 1½ cups Nutella: Delivers creamy, chocolatey goodness.
04 - 1½ cups hazelnuts, finely chopped: Brings a nutty crunch and texture.
05 - ¾ cup honey: Adds sweetness that pairs perfectly with chocolate.
06 - ¼ cup water: Needed to make the syrup.
07 - ¼ cup sugar: Sweetens the syrup.
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract: Gives the syrup extra flavor.

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter.
02 - Lay down a single phyllo sheet in the pan. Brush it with melted butter and repeat this until ten sheets are stacked up.
03 - Spread half of the Nutella over the sheets and sprinkle on half the hazelnuts.
04 - Layer on another ten phyllo sheets, buttering each one as you go.
05 - Spread the rest of the Nutella and toss on the remaining hazelnuts.
06 - Top it all off with a final ten sheets, buttering each as usual.
07 - Cut the baklava into squares or diamonds before it goes in the oven.
08 - Pop it in the oven for around 45 minutes, or until it’s got a nice golden color.
09 - Mix honey, water, sugar, and vanilla in a pot. Heat it until the sugar is completely melted.
10 - Pour your warm syrup over the freshly baked baklava, then let it cool down before eating.
