Set your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter.

Lay down a single phyllo sheet in the pan. Brush it with melted butter and repeat this until ten sheets are stacked up.

Spread half of the Nutella over the sheets and sprinkle on half the hazelnuts.

Layer on another ten phyllo sheets, buttering each one as you go.

Spread the rest of the Nutella and toss on the remaining hazelnuts.

Top it all off with a final ten sheets, buttering each as usual.

Cut the baklava into squares or diamonds before it goes in the oven.

Pop it in the oven for around 45 minutes, or until it’s got a nice golden color.

Mix honey, water, sugar, and vanilla in a pot. Heat it until the sugar is completely melted.

Pour your warm syrup over the freshly baked baklava, then let it cool down before eating.
