05 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese
06 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla
07 - 1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
08 - Lemon zest from one lemon

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan lightly.

03 - Evenly cover the base layer with the lemon pie filling.
04 - Blend cream cheese, egg, sugar, vanilla, and zest until the mixture is smooth. Pour this over the lemon layer.
05 - Crumble the rest of the cake mix on top. Bake for 35–40 minutes until firm and golden.
06 - Let it rest 30 minutes before cutting into pieces. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top if you’d like.

# Notes:

01 - Lemon cake mix can bring out more lemony taste.
02 - Let the cake fully cool to slice it neatly.
03 - Keep leftover portions in the fridge.
