Cheesy Jalapeño Grits (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 2 1/2 cups water
02 - 2/3 cup heavy cream
03 - 2/3 cup quick-cooking grits

→ Add-ins

04 - 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped finely
05 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
06 - Salt and pepper, adjust to your liking
07 - 1 tbsp butter

# Instructions:

01 - In butter, sauté the chopped jalapeños for 2-3 minutes until soft.
02 - Combine water and cream in a saucepan and bring it to a full boil.
03 - Pour in the grits and stir in the cheese. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grits are creamy.
04 - Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with more jalapeños and cheese on top before serving.
