Homemade Garlic Bread Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 loaf French bread
02 - 2 bulbs garlic
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - Kosher salt to taste

→ Toppings

06 - 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
07 - 16 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
08 - 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
09 - 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers

→ Garnish

10 - Grated Parmesan cheese
11 - Crushed red pepper flakes
12 - Fresh basil leaves

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice tops off garlic bulbs, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast 45-60 minutes until caramelized. Cool and squeeze out cloves.
02 - Raise oven temperature to 400°F. Mash roasted garlic cloves into softened butter. Season with salt.
03 - Slice bread loaf lengthwise into 8 pieces. Arrange on baking sheet and spread with garlic butter mixture. Bake 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
04 - Remove bread from oven and top with sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and bell peppers.
05 - Return to oven and bake 12-15 minutes more until toppings are hot and cheese is melted.
06 - Finish with grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and fresh basil. Slice and serve.
