Gooey Caramel Pecan Cake (Print)

A rich dessert with caramel and pecans layered under buttery cake mix. Quick to prep and bakes in under an hour.

# Ingredients:

→ Pecan Layer

01 - 1 cup caramel sauce
02 - 2 eggs, whisked
03 - 1/2 cup melted butter
04 - 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
05 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed tight
06 - 3 cups pecans, whole or halves

→ Topping

07 - 1 cup butter, melted
08 - 1 box pecan-flavored cake mix

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 dish lightly with non-stick spray.
02 - Stir the whisked eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and both caramel sauces in a big bowl until it’s all blended.
03 - Add the pecan halves and gently stir them until everything looks evenly coated.
04 - Pour the pecan mixture into the greased dish, making sure the nuts are distributed evenly.
05 - Take the cake mix and mix it with the melted butter in another bowl until it turns crumbly. Scatter it over the pecan layer evenly.
06 - Pop it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it’s golden and bubbling around the shell.

# Notes:

01 - Let it cool for about 15-20 minutes before tucking in.
02 - Tastes amazing with some vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of caramel, or a pinch of sea salt.
