Creamy Parmesan Chicken (Print)

Crispy, golden chicken cutlets covered in a velvety parmesan garlic sauce. Done in 25 minutes and great for a homey dinner that feels fancy.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken Prep

01 - Salt and pepper, as much as you like
02 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
03 - 4 small or medium-sized chicken breasts (or cut 2 large ones in half)

→ Creamy Garlic Mixture

04 - 3 to 4 minced garlic cloves
05 - 1 tablespoon of oregano or Italian herb blend
06 - ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
07 - 1 cup heavy or light cream
08 - 1 cup chopped spinach (only if you want to add it)

# Steps:

01 - Rub both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper. Go for it, use a generous amount!
02 - Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Place the chicken in once it’s hot and let it sear for 5-6 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy.
03 - After the chicken has cooked through, take it out and rest it on a plate. Don’t worry, you’ll come back to it soon.
04 - Drop the minced garlic into the same pan, lower the heat a bit, and stir around for about 30 seconds. Make sure it smells good but doesn’t burn!
05 - Slowly stir in the cream, followed by the Italian seasoning and parmesan. Mix it all together until it’s smooth and starts to thicken up.
06 - If using spinach, add it now. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes so it wilts nicely into the sauce.
07 - Pop the chicken back into the pan and spread the creamy garlic sauce over it. Let it simmer for another minute so the flavors soak in.
08 - Move the chicken onto plates, making sure to scoop lots of sauce on top. It pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or pasta.

# Notes:

01 - Want extra crunch? Coat the chicken in a mix of parmesan and panko crumbs before frying.
02 - For some spice, toss a bit of red pepper flakes into the sauce.
03 - Grate parmesan fresh for a better taste and smoothness in the sauce.
