Fried Veggie Snack (Print)

Lightly boiled cauliflower florets fried to crispy perfection after coating in flour and egg. A classic Ukrainian treat for sides or snacks.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small head of cauliflower.
02 - 3 large eggs.
03 - 4 tablespoons oil for frying.
04 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for coating.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
06 - 1/3 teaspoon salt.
07 - Optional garlic topping:
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped.
09 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
10 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
11 - 1 tablespoon juice from a lemon.

# Steps:

01 - Cut the cauliflower into smaller pieces. Simmer it in lightly salted water for 7 to 9 minutes until soft. Let it dry off.
02 - Place flour in one bowl. In another bowl, mix the eggs well with salt and pepper.
03 - First toss the cauliflower in flour, then dunk it into the egg mix.
04 - Heat oil over medium. Cook the cauliflower until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes each side.
05 - Combine parsley, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice. Add it on top of the cauliflower if you’d like.
