Stir together cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Keep handy for later use.

Put enough vegetable oil in a sturdy pot to cover the dough balls. Heat it to 325°F (163°C).

Pop open the biscuit can and separate each one. Split each biscuit in half, then use your hands or a rolling pin to press them flat.

Place a spoonful of apple filling into the center of each dough piece. Pinch the edges tightly, then gently roll it into a sealed ball.

Carefully place 2-3 balls at a time into the hot oil. Fry for 5 minutes or until golden, turning occasionally so they cook evenly.

Take the fried dough out of the oil and immediately roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mix until well-coated.
