Strawberry Danish (Print)

Crispy puff pastry stuffed with sweet cheese and strawberries, finished with jam or a drizzle of vanilla icing.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 thawed puff pastry sheets.
02 - 1 egg whisked with a bit of water.
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
04 - About 4 cups of sliced strawberries.
05 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon sugar.
06 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
07 - One block (8 oz) of softened cream cheese.
08 - 1/4 cup strawberry jelly or jam.
09 - 1 cup powdered sugar for the glaze.
10 - 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk for thinning glaze.

# Steps:

01 - Blend strawberries with cornstarch and sugar. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
02 - Slice each pastry sheet into 6 pieces. Create a border by scoring edges. Add cream cheese mixture and strawberries in the center.
03 - Put in the fridge for 15 minutes after brushing edges with egg mixture.
04 - Bake for around 20 to 25 minutes at 400°F until they turn golden brown.
05 - Let them sit for 5 minutes to cool. Spread some warm jam or drizzle with glaze on top.

# Notes:

01 - Lasts for 2 to 3 days in the fridge.
02 - Tastes best when served warm.
