Crispy Salmon Patties (Print)

Golden, crunchy salmon patties with canned salmon and a few basics. A simple, inexpensive favorite for everyone.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
02 - 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained and broken apart
03 - 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper (optional)
04 - 1/4 cup minced onion

→ Binding & Seasonings

05 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
06 - 1 beaten large egg
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
09 - 2 tablespoons mayo
10 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ For Cooking & Serving

12 - Lemon wedges to garnish (optional)
13 - 2 tablespoons cooking oil

# Steps:

01 - Stir salmon, onion, bell pepper, crackers, egg, mayo, lemon juice, mustard, and spices together in a bowl until well combined.
02 - Scoop equal portions of the mixture and shape them into 6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick each.
03 - Warm oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until crispy and golden.
04 - Let patties rest on paper towels to absorb any oil. Serve while warm with lemon wedges, if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - You can use crushed saltines instead of breadcrumbs.
02 - Prepare the mixture earlier and keep it in the fridge.
03 - Feel free to add extras like chopped herbs or a splash of hot sauce.
