Seafood Bisque (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
02 - 2 cloves of garlic, minced.
03 - 2 tablespoons of sherry.
04 - 1/4 cup diced carrot.
05 - 1/2 cup diced onion.
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
07 - 1/2 pound crab meat, cooked.
08 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
09 - 1/4 cup diced celery.
10 - 4 cups of chicken broth or seafood stock.
11 - 1 cup heavy cream.
12 - 1 teaspoon paprika.
13 - 1/2 pound cooked shrimp, chopped.
14 - 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
15 - Fresh herbs for decoration.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil and cook onion, carrot, and celery till they soften. Toss in garlic at the end.
02 - Mix in the spices and tomato paste. Sprinkle in flour, stirring well. Slowly pour in the broth while mixing.
03 - Let it bubble gently for about 10-12 minutes until it thickens. Add the sherry in at the end.
04 - Stir in the crab, shrimp, and cream. Let it warm through for five minutes. Add seasoning and top with herbs.

# Notes:

01 - Seafood broth gives it a deeper taste.
02 - Sherry isn’t a must—skip it if you want.
