Stir together the orange gelatin, pudding mix, and boiling water in a big pot.

Heat the mixture while stirring until it boils and becomes a bright orange color. This should take about 5 minutes.

Transfer to a large bowl and pop it in the fridge. Let it set for at least 4 hours, or leave it overnight.

Use a potato masher to mix the Cool Whip into the chilled gelatin mix until blended well.
