Make espresso with a machine or stovetop moka pot. If you don’t have these, strong brewed coffee works too, just double the amount.

Warm up the milk, then make it frothy using a steam wand, handheld whisk, or frother until you see bubbles forming.

Pour the frothy milk into your cup and swirl in the vanilla syrup.

Carefully pour the espresso into the cup so it sits on the frothy milk, leaving a nice mark on top.

Draw two circles of caramel around the top of the cup and crisscross a grid in the center for extra flair.
