A delicious combo of soft, chewy brownies topped with chocolate chip cookie dough baked into a single perfect dessert bar.

# Ingredients:

→ Brownie Batter

01 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
03 - 1/3 cup cocoa powder
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
07 - 2 large eggs

→ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

08 - 1 cup chocolate chips
09 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
10 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
11 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
12 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
13 - 1 large egg
14 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
15 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
16 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Put parchment paper in a square baking pan.
02 - Melt the butter in a microwaveable dish. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mixing well to combine. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until you’ve got a smooth batter without any lumps.
03 - In a clean bowl, mix the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until it’s fluffy. Gradually add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until soft dough forms. Stir in chocolate chips so they’re evenly spread.
04 - Spread the brownie mix evenly into your prepared pan. Add chunks of cookie dough on top. Press the dough lightly into the brownie mix to blend them together for a swirled effect.
05 - Pop it in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes until the edges are firm but the center still feels a bit soft.
06 - Take it out of the oven and let it cool off completely in the pan. When cooled, slice into squares or shapes and enjoy.

# Notes:

01 - Chill them in the fridge for one hour first if you want clean edges when cutting.
02 - Store them in a sealed container at room temperature for up to three days.
03 - Toss some walnuts or pecans into the mix for added crunch if you like.
