01 -
Heat up some butter in a medium pot on medium heat. Toss in diced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir often and simmer for around 5 to 7 minutes until the apples are nice and soft and everything thickens like caramel. Let the filling rest for a bit to cool.
02 -
Turn your oven on to the temperature that’s listed on the can of cinnamon rolls.
03 -
Unroll the cinnamon rolls just a little and scoop some apple mixture on the dough. Gently roll them back up and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
04 -
Pop the dish into the oven and bake the rolls as directed on the packaging. This usually takes 15-18 minutes until they’re lightly golden.
05 -
While your rolls bake, whip together powdered sugar, a splash of milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the milk as needed for whatever thickness you like.
06 -
Once the rolls have baked and had a chance to cool down a bit, drizzle them with either the included icing or the glaze you made.
07 -
Dig in and enjoy the warm and sweet combo of apples and cinnamon rolls!
