Apple Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tbsp milk.
02 - ½ cup powdered sugar.
03 - ¼ tsp vanilla extract.
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter.
05 - 3 medium apples, diced after peeling.
06 - ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
07 - 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice.
08 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
09 - 2 tbsp brown sugar.
10 - 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (packed with icing).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up some butter in a medium pot on medium heat. Toss in diced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir often and simmer for around 5 to 7 minutes until the apples are nice and soft and everything thickens like caramel. Let the filling rest for a bit to cool.
02 - Turn your oven on to the temperature that’s listed on the can of cinnamon rolls.
03 - Unroll the cinnamon rolls just a little and scoop some apple mixture on the dough. Gently roll them back up and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
04 - Pop the dish into the oven and bake the rolls as directed on the packaging. This usually takes 15-18 minutes until they’re lightly golden.
05 - While your rolls bake, whip together powdered sugar, a splash of milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the milk as needed for whatever thickness you like.
06 - Once the rolls have baked and had a chance to cool down a bit, drizzle them with either the included icing or the glaze you made.
07 - Dig in and enjoy the warm and sweet combo of apples and cinnamon rolls!

# Notes:

01 - Let the apple filling cool slightly so it doesn’t spread too much when added to the dough.
02 - It’s up to you whether you drizzle the packaged icing or go with the homemade glaze.
