02 - 4 tablespoons shortening.
03 - 6 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet).
04 - 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk.
05 - 1 cup butter (let it soften).
06 - 3 cups chopped pecans.
07 - 10 ounces maraschino cherries (chopped and drained).
08 - 1 tablespoon vanilla.
09 - 4 cups powdered sugar.

# Steps:

01 - Whisk together the butter, vanilla, and condensed milk until smooth.
02 - Mix in the powdered sugar bit by bit, then fold in the coconut flakes, chopped cherries, and pecans.
03 - Chill the mixture for 1-2 hours, then roll it into little balls with your hands.
04 - Microwave the chocolate chips with shortening until melted, stirring occasionally.
05 - Dip each ball in the melted chocolate and set it on a sheet of parchment paper.
