Creamy Chicken Mushroom Pasta (Print)

A rich and creamy chicken pasta featuring mushrooms, asparagus, and Parmesan. Perfect for a fast and cozy dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ Essential Components

01 - 200g mushrooms, thinly sliced
02 - 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed and cut into short pieces
03 - 250g of penne
04 - 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips

→ For the Creamy Sauce

05 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
06 - 3 minced garlic cloves
07 - 1 cup of heavy cream
08 - 1/2 cup chicken stock

→ Extras and Topping

09 - Salt and pepper for seasoning
10 - Chopped fresh parsley, for decoration
11 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil

# Steps:

01 - Follow the package directions to prepare the penne. After draining, put it aside.
02 - Warm up olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken strips until they're nicely browned and fully done. Take them out and leave them for later.
03 - Toss the mushrooms and asparagus into the same pan. Stir and let them cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook just long enough to smell amazing, about a minute.
04 - Add chicken stock and heavy cream into the pan. Let it simmer gently, occasionally giving it a mix. Sprinkle in Parmesan and stir until the sauce thickens up. Add salt and pepper to your liking.
05 - Put the cooked chicken and pasta into the pan. Stir well so the creamy sauce coats it all. Sprinkle parsley on top, and serve it warm.

01 - Swap penne with another type of pasta if you'd like
02 - You can try broccoli or peas instead of asparagus
03 - You can keep leftovers in the fridge for up to three days
