Chicken Pasta Creamy (Print)

Rich ricotta sauce coats whole wheat pasta and chicken, with an option for leafy greens to boost freshness.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound diced chicken breast.
02 - 12 oz pasta made of whole wheat.
03 - 2 tbsp olive oil.
04 - A handful of basil or parsley, fresh.
05 - 3 minced garlic cloves.
06 - 1 cup of ricotta.
07 - 2 cups spinach or kale leaves.
08 - Half a cup of grated Parmesan.
09 - 1/2 cup of broth from chicken.
10 - Optional: 1/2 cup heavy cream.
11 - 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper.
12 - 1 tsp mix of Italian herbs.

# Steps:

01 - Cook the pasta until al dente. Save half a cup of the water before draining it.
02 - Season the chicken and cook it in oil for 6-8 minutes until golden-brown.
03 - Sauté the garlic, then stir in the cheeses, cream, broth, and seasonings until fully blended.
04 - Toss the pasta and chicken into the sauce. If it’s too thick, splash in the reserved water. Add greens at the end and heat till they soften.

# Notes:

01 - Pasta water can make the sauce thinner.
02 - Heavy cream adds a richer taste but isn’t required.
03 - You can use any type of greens you like.
