Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet (Print)

A quick one-pan meal combining tender chicken, pasta, and marinara sauce topped with melty cheese. Ready in 20 minutes!

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces penne pasta
02 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds), diced into 1/2 inch pieces
03 - 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce (3 cups)
04 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese

→ Seasonings and Oil

06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
09 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
10 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

# Steps:

01 - Cook penne to al dente following package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
02 - Season diced chicken with salt and pepper.
03 - Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
04 - Add marinara, seasonings, parmesan, pasta, and reserved water. Bring to boil, then simmer 4-5 minutes.
05 - Remove from heat, top with mozzarella, cover, and let sit 5 minutes until cheese melts.
