Cherry Chip Pink Cookies (Print)

Fluffy and colorful, these sweet cookies feature maraschino cherries and melty chocolate chips. Quick to bake and perfect for gatherings.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups plain wheat flour.
02 - 2 teaspoons of corn flour (cornstarch).
03 - A teaspoon of soda for baking.
04 - Quarter teaspoon fine salt.
05 - 2 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet.
06 - A stick of butter, soft and unsalted.
07 - 1.25 cups packed light brown sugar.
08 - A quarter cup of white sugar.
09 - A couple of large eggs.
10 - One teaspoon of vanilla liquid.
11 - 1/8 teaspoon almond essence.
12 - Pink food dye, gel-based.
13 - Chopped maraschino cherries, one cup.

# Steps:

01 - Chop maraschino cherries and dry them with paper towels. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - Stir together salt, flour, cornstarch, and baking soda in a bowl.
03 - Whip butter with the sugars for 2 minutes till it's light. Toss in the extracts and eggs, then blend well.
04 - Drop in the pink coloring, then mix in the dry blend from earlier.
05 - Fold in the chopped cherries plus 1 cup of chips. Shape into balls and pop more chips on top.
06 - Bake for about 10-13 minutes until firm but pink. Let cool on baking sheets for 15 minutes.
