Blueberry Heaven (Print)

Cookies loaded with chocolate and a fruity jam center. Sweet and easy to love!

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to make it smooth.
02 - 1/4 cup brown sugar, adds moisture and a touch of sweetness.
03 - 1/4 tsp salt, to counter the sweetness.
04 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, makes up the base of the cookie.
05 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for a deep chocolate flavor.
06 - 1 tsp baking soda, helps the cookies puff up.
07 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar, for extra sweetness.
08 - 1 large egg, to hold everything together.
09 - 1 tsp vanilla extract, adds flavor richness.
10 - 1/2 cup blueberry jam, makes a tasty filling.
11 - Purple food coloring (optional), for adding some fun color.
12 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar, for sprinkling on top.

# Steps:

01 - Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment.
02 - Grab a medium bowl and mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
03 - In a bigger bowl, beat softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until fluffy and smooth.
04 - Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, making sure they’re completely blended with the creamed butter and sugar.
05 - Slowly add your dry mix into the wet one, stirring just enough to blend them. Add purple food coloring if you’re using it.
06 - Scoop out dough, flatten each portion, and pop some blueberry jam in the middle. Wrap the dough around the filling, roll them into balls, and arrange them on the tray.
07 - Sprinkle a little granulated sugar on top. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm but the centers stay soft.
08 - Let the cookies rest on the baking tray for a bit before moving them to a rack to finish cooling.

# Notes:

01 - These soft cookies hide a blueberry jam surprise wrapped in rich chocolate dough.
02 - Purple food coloring isn’t necessary but makes the cookies look more vibrant and fun.
03 - They’re delicious whether served warm or at room temperature. Enjoy anytime!
