Apple Pie Crescent Muffins (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Muffin Base

01 - 8 oz. refrigerated crescent rolls
02 - 5 oz. cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 3/4 cup chopped apples from apple pie filling

→ Topping

06 - 2 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
07 - 1/4 cup sugar
08 - 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease standard muffin pan with baking spray.
02 - In shallow dish, stir together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
03 - Mix cream cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar, and vanilla until combined.
04 - Unroll crescent dough and separate into 4 rectangles. Seal perforations between triangles. Cut each rectangle in half to make 8 squares.
05 - Place dough square on palm, gently stretch it. Add heaping tablespoon of cream cheese filling and tablespoon of chopped apples in center. Pinch corners together to seal all sides. Roll gently between palms to form ball.
06 - Brush each ball with melted butter, roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place in muffin pan (seal side down). Bake 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
07 - Let cool 5 minutes in pan before serving.
