These fritters are a guilt-free version of the original. Packed with sweet apples and spices, they’re ideal for autumn mornings or afternoons!

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg.
02 - 2 tsp baking powder.
03 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
04 - 1/2 tsp salt.
05 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
06 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
07 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
08 - 2 large eggs.
09 - 1/2 cup whole milk.
10 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted.
11 - 2 cups peeled and chopped apples.
12 - 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed.
13 - 2-3 tbsp milk (for glaze).
14 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze).
15 - 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze).

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and stir them well.
03 - In another bowl, blend the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Add the wet blend to the dry mix and stir gently, just until everything comes together.
05 - Fold in the apple pieces and brown sugar gently, keeping it light.
06 - Spoon out the batter onto your lined baking sheet, shaping round fritters.
07 - Bake them until golden, around 15-18 minutes. Let the fritters cool a bit before handling.
08 - Mix the powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until it’s smooth and drizzle-ready.
09 - Pour the glaze over the slightly warm fritters and enjoy!
